My plan is to is to try to use different WiFi card (other driver module) with this "stable" image and to try "upt-update" to check if my issue could be somehow related to 8192cu driver itself. Then, even if I "manually" reinstall affected packages succesfully with "apt-get install -reinstall" (before that I am removing downloaded package from "archive" to allow to download package(s) again) a "reboot -rF now" shows root filesystem corrupted and not being bootable, some system files are being (re)moved.Īnyone has some clue on what can cause this issue? Packages are being downloaded with no errors but during unpacking phase there appear errors for a few packages and whole update fails. Any attempt to do 'apt-get upgrade' from this image leads to FS corruptions. I have an image copy (with 8192cu driver installed) which is "stable" but this image is not updatable for now. Among packages being updated there are firmware packages. I have raspbian installed (current official build with some past 'apt-get upgrades') and once I'll try to update dist with use of 'apt-get upgrade' I am experiencing file system corruptions. Anyway, I am glad that it would be possible.Įdit: BTW, recently I noticed some other strange issue and I am not sure if it is related to 8192cu driver itself or to the firmware or to something else. It may require somebody else participation. It sounds promising however I need to find out how to do it correctly and to understand a process laying behind and what would be related involvement.
